Islamabad

Taxila: The World Heritage site of Taxila is about 30 kilometers from Islamabad. This is a site museum and its collection mainly focuses on Gandhara art. These sites date back to 600 or 700 BC. Murree: A hill station, 60 km northeast from Islamabad, Murree was the summer capital of Punjab Province of British India until 1864. The hill station is a popular getaway destination, located at an average altitude of 3000 meters.

Bhurban: Another hill station adjacent to Murree. the resort town is named after a nearby forest. It is located approximately one-hour drive from Islamabad. Bhurban is a tourist paradise with unique flora and fauna and a variety of species not found elsewhere in Pakistan.
